How to Participate
You can apply online by visiting www.thenexttycoon.biz or mail your application and business plan to P.O. Box 682646, Marietta, GA 30068
Your application for the Next Tycoon and your business plans must be submitted before September 18.
A panel of media and business experts will review the business plans and select the best hundred.
If your business plan was one the first hundred, we will contact you and schedule an initial audition at 31-B Johnson Ferry Road, Marietta GA, 30068. You will have two minutes to present your idea to a panel of judges on a white board. The initial auditions will be taped and broadcasted on The Next Tycoon website, www.thenexttycoon.biz
Our Judges will choose four finalists and one alternate contestant who will participate in 2ndlive taping of the show. The final Contestants will have two minutes to present their business plans in front of the judges and a live audience. An additional two minutes will be dedicated to questions from the judges to the contestant .
The winner of the competition will receive a business prize package valued over $25,000!
Judging Criteria
Your Business Plan accounts for 40%. We are looking for a clear description of your vision, finances, value proposition, Intellectual property, return on investment, management, cost comparison, etc
Your Presentation accounts for 60%. We want to see the passion and human factor for your business. The Next Tycoon should projects confidence, leadership, and empathy. We are looking for a creative person who has the communication skills to be The Next Tycoon. Your image is also taken into consideration and will be a factor in choosing The Next Tycoon.
Fees
A non-refundable processing fee of $85 is charged when you submit your application and business plan
Rules
You cannot use Power Point to present your business plan. We will provide you with a white board to explain your business idea to the judges and the audience. You can bring any additional items that help you explain your idea and reflect your style
You will have two minutes to present your business plan and make a favorable impression. The judges will have thoroughly reviewed your business plan prior to your presentation
The Competition is open to anyone who feels qualified and who has a viable business idea. All applicants must make their own arrangements to appear in person for auditions and the taping of the show.
Important Dates
September 13 – The First Next Tycoon Show will air on CBS 46 at 12:30 p.m.
September 18 - Deadline for applications for the 2nd show.
